I would like everyone to meet this lovely bride, Kayla. there is a fun story here. Kayla was actually the flower girl in my parents wedding almost exactly 24 years ago. Even though we are not actually related I have grown up with her being my "cousin". When she asked me to be apart of her special day I was so excited for her and Jeremy (her fiance). They are a super cute couple. Their love and happiness was contagious.
They were married December 30, 2012 at the Coyote Hills Golf Course in Fullerton, California. Do not be deceived by these sunny pictures. The weather was crazy that day! Here's how the it started...
I will start with the rehearsal. It was my first time seeing the location, and it was absolutely beautiful! There were beautiful wonderful fall colored leaves on the trees, a beautiful waterfall, and the best part was where the ceremony was going to be, a fabulous wisteria-draped pergola. the venue was just so great. The only problem was that the weather had been a little drizzly and the forecast said that it was supposed to rain on the day of the wedding. In spite of that, we were all trying to be optimistic. The day of the wedding came and my assistant and I arrived at the the maid of honor's house where the girls were all getting ready. It was a beautiful sunny day! As you can see from the pictures of the dresses. Everything was going as planned. We start to head to the reception site where the girls are going to get dressed...and on the way there what happens? It starts HAILING! Yes not just raining HAILING! We did not expect that.
By the time we were at the venue and the girls were all dressed and ready to go the sun was out and you would've never guessed it had been hailing and raining just 30 minutes before. (At least you would've never guessed as long as you did not look down at the wet ground haha) We were all so happy because now we were able to do everything fro the first look to the family photos outside with the beautiful outdoors as a background. The only misfortune was that the ground was too wet for us to have the ceremony outside. Plan B, however was a GREAT alternative! There was an entire wall of windows that allowed the outside to come in :) Despite the unexpected curves the weather threw at us, everything turned out so beautiful. I hope you enjoyed my lil story and the pictures that go along with it! Congrats Kayla and Jeremy, love you!
